Upcoming Contests — Things to Do

2024 ARRL Field Day is June 22 - 23

ARRL Field Day is this weekend, starting at 1800 UTC on Saturday, June 22 and concluding at 2100 UTC on Sunday, June 23. Join thousands of amateurs from across the globe, including those from all 85 ARRL and Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) Sections, as they participate in this popular operating event. Note that there is a new 50-point bonus for class B, C, D, E, and F stations this year.

Be sure to visit www.arrl.org/field-day for event details and more information about the new bonus points.

2024 RAC Canada Day Contest

The 2024 Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) Canada Day Contest starts at 0000 UTC on Monday, July 1, and will run for 24 hours. Stations in Canada send a signal report and their Canadian province or territory. VEØs and stations outside Canada send a signal report and a serial number. Contacts with stations in Canada or VEØs are worth 10 points, contacts with stations outside Canada are worth 2 points, and contacts with RAC official stations are worth 20 points. In support of the new RAC Headquarters Amateur Station, the RAC contests will now recognize its call sign VE3RHQ as a new 20-point bonus call sign as part of the contest scoring. Visit www.rac.ca/contesting-results for more information.
